Acton Street Market Regeneration Project

Bringing Acton’s tradition of markets back to life...

After the recent refurbishment of Acton’s town square on King Street/The Mount, the Acton Market has been transformed to give it an open, community feel and to bring Acton’s tradition of markets back to life. On offer will be a permanent market in Acton with a range of quality market stalls, including fresh farm products, handcrafted gifts, and other goods. The market will initially be a weekend market running on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with the potential for Thursday operations. There will also be regular themed markets, for example community/arts/food markets and music and dance events involving local groups.

Become a Market Trader...

Action Acton is offering the opportunity for people with some or no market trading experience to run a stall in Acton’s new market. Action Acton welcomes unemployed individuals, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities, and others who are interested in starting up their own market trading business to apply for a market stall. As part of this project, Action Acton is offering specialist training and support in setting up a market stall business through a Market Trader’s Training Scheme. This is a FREE specialist course individually tailored to provide all the necessary skills required to set up your own market trading business. The course is for anyone aged 16 and above and is available to traders with some or no experience. Action Acton also offer subsidised stall rates and business development loans to eligible traders. Action Acton - Who we are...

Action Acton is a regeneration charity and voluntary body delivering a wide range of community, economic and business initiatives in Acton, Ealing and adjoining boroughs. The aim of creating a permanent market in Acton Town is to build and brand a unique identity for Acton town centre which will significantly improve the area, creating a hub and vibrancy to benefit local retailers, businesses and residents. The objective is to attract shoppers and visitors to Acton. Local businesses will actively be involved and benefit from increased custom. The project will offer ongoing business support to new businesses and social enterprise.

The Acton Street Market regeneration project has been developed and is being delivered by Action Acton in partnership with Ealing Council and other local agencies. The project is funded by the London Development Agency.
